Video Paradiso opened in 1997 as the video rental and sales arm of Claremont Music institution Rhino Records
. Our location is a part of an “art house” video store tradition in this area - as bulk of our library came from the legendary “Turpentine Cat” video store (the lone art House video store in the inland empire area). Video Paradiso prides itself on a deep selection of films: New Releases, Hard-To-Find, Independent, art house and more. We are a favorite of local educators due to our comprehensive collection of literary classics and documentaries. Many of our titles are not available from any online streaming or rental service. In addition to renting videos, we also buy and sell new and used DVDs and Blu-Rays at the most competitive prices around.
The real deal is this: Video Paradiso epitomizes what is best about brick and mortar stores. This is a place where our patrons and staff can come together and share conversations, questions, recommendations and our love of cinema - a place where community can transcend commerce.
The best compliment we get from our customers is: “This is the way video stores were meant to be”. We agree, and hope that film lovers and collectors will come in and be a part of the unique location and community we have here. We are serious about this stuff.
Long Live the brick and mortar store. Long Live physical formats. Long Live Video Paradiso !
